The sale cattle preview and the ASA Meet-n-Greet will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19 again in the pens outside the yard's sale arena. The sale will start at 2 p.m.

2024 The One & Only Simmental sale

Jan. 14, 2024, at the National Western Stock Show, Denver, CO

The 2024 NWSS One & Only Simmental Sale was extremely hot despite the frigid temperatures. Cattle sold to buyers from coast to coast and border to border.

Special additions:
The annual sale led with the Power Simmental selection by Hugh Ross representing winner Nicki Ross Cattle Services of Blenheim, Ontario, Canada. In addition to the live and frozen lots, the auction also featured fundraiser lots for the American Simmental-Simbrah Foundation, bringing in $22,400. Baty Livestock of Loveland, CO, won the Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 Shotgun.

American Simmental-Simbrah Foundation Fundraiser

Jan. 14, 2024, at the National Western Stock Show, Denver, CO

A friendly bidding war during the 10 special fundraiser lots at 2024 The One & Only sale, helped break recent records to benefit the American Simmental-Simbrah Foundation.

Baty Livestock of CO, Bowling Cattle Company of IN, and Innovative AgMarketing of KS snatched up all 10 bottles of liquor generously donated by Eberspacher Enterprises of MN and Eichacker Simmentals of SD. The bottles entered the three firms into an elimination drawing for a Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 Shotgun, donated by Circle M Farms of TX.

In the draw-down, the last man standing was Ken Baty, who commented that his youngest daughter Sydney benefited from the American Junior Simmental Association, with junior scholarships one of the Foundation's giving pillars. The Foundation raised $22,400; Baty Livestock won the specialty over-and-under shotgun.
